Rockport Boat Club Friday Night BBQs are open to all members!
Join your fellow RBC friends for a casual evening overlooking beautiful Rockport Harbor. Bring your dinner and drinks and a light bite to share with everyone. Cocktail hour gets going by 5:30 and grills will be hot for cooking by 6.
This is a great way to meet fellow members and share tales of the high seas or any topic deemed appropriate.
No need to RSVP. Teams will be assigned ahead of time to set up and break down and start the grills, but anyone willing to participate and lend a hand is always welcome. Bring your name tags or make one when you arrive.
A popular weekly event - we look forward to welcoming everyone to the 2026 season!
Sunday Afternoon BBQs are open to all members!
Similar to the Friday Night BBQ, we are now offering Sunday afternoon times for folks who prefer an earlier time slot and a different day. Met with enthusiasm last year, this appeals to families with younger children or anyone looking to enjoy more time at the clubhouse!
Bring your picnic, drinks and a light bite to share with everyone. Teams will be assigned to set up and break down and get the grills hot for dinner prep.
Members are welcome to attend nautical talk with Christina (Chrissy) Shyne, former RBC Youth Sailing Director:
"Cargo by Sail in the Pacific"
Transporting cargo by sail is once again gaining attention as nations around the world explore options to reduce international shipping's carbon footprint. Join Christina Shyne as she talks about her experiences over the last ten years working aboard two sailing cargo vessels delivering goods to island nations in the Pacific.

The RBC is proud to announce it will again be hosting the RBC Paper Cup Challenge sailboat race in 2026. Two racing classes will take place. The first class start will be the Cruising Class (jib and main only) race which will be pursuit start race for the PHRF handicapped boats. The second class start will be a one-design race held for Small Boat Class (under 22 ft LOA).
The name accurately describes the awards for this event series which is comprised of two races. Each competing boat will receive a ‘paper cup’ indicating their event participation and place.
For the Cruising Class, both races are family friendly pursuit start races, the first being from the start line outside of Rockport Harbor and racing a course south of the Robinson Rock bouy and crossing the finish line at Pulpit Harbor on North Haven. A lunchtime break will occur in Pulpit Harbor where racers can raft up for lunch. The second race, held in the afternoon, will race from Pulpit Harbor around the south of the Robinson Rock Bouy and finish at The Graves.
For the Small Boat Class (under 22 ft LOA), the course will be determined on the morning of the race. It will be based on wind and weather conditions to ensure finish times for all boats are similar.
Following the on-the-water activities, a steak/lobster dinner (tickets can be purchased on Regattaman.com at time of race registration) and awards ceremony will be hosted at the Rockport Boat Club in Rockport Harbor.
All competing boats should have a current PHRF rating or, if not, accept the handicap rating assigned by the Race Committee.
